25 Things You Thought You'd Never Know

1. It just so happens that Deanna is a Democrat and Rene is a Republican. So it follows that their first child shall be Isabella, an Independent or Bobby, who is Bi-partisan.

2. Rene was born in Juarez, Mexico, because of a chance snow storm that closed the international bridge.

3. Deanna's father wrote a contract on a napkin for Rene with stipulations he had to meet in order to marry Deanna.

4. Rene wanted to marry Deanna's brother, but it is not allowed, so he picked Deanna. (Just kidding)

5. Deanna was the first one to say "I love you", though Rene was the first one to fall in love.

6. Rene melts (like chocolate on a hot summer day) when Deanna pouts.

7. After weeks of planning and strategy meetings with his advisers, Rene "flaked-out" and asked Deanna to marry him, in her apartment... This was not part of the plan.

8. Deanna makes more money than Rene, and this doesn't bother him a bit... Not a bit.

9. Tucker has Rene trained. As soon as he hears him, he runs to the refrigerator and meows, looks at the treats, looks to Rene and meows. He then stalks Rene until he caves and gives him treats. It really progresses this far. Here's a video to prove it:


10. Rene would love to some day hold a deadly virus in his hands (with the proper safety precautions, of course). Deanna has already done this.

11. Deanna was born in the same town where Arnold Palmer went to high school and where Mr. Rodgers grew up.

12. Being the Republican that he is, you'd never know Rene would actually hug a tree...

13. Rumor has it that Deanna will be moving in with Rene and her brother, mostly so she doesn't have to learn how to play video games.

14. Deanna and Rene didn't live together before they got married because a cat-free room could not be maintained.

15. Rene has a third cousin, Eduardo, who played center for the Oklahoma Sooners, the Dallas Mavericks, the Denver Nuggets, and currently the New Jersey Nets. Yes, Rene's family includes a lot of tall people... for being Mexican and all.

16. Rene and Deanna's first date may or may not have included famed comedian Eddie Izzard (on DVD).

17. Deanna's Mom did not learn the pronunciation of Rene's last name until about two years after Rene and Deanna started dating. This correlates well with Deanna's Dad not knowing what a quesadilla was, even though he has had plenty during his lifetime from Taco Bell.

18. Deanna and Rene share an addiction to Borders. She will forever thank him for introducing her to Chai Tea Lattes.

19. Rene will forever thank Deanna for introducing him to the love of pets.

20. Rene is addicted to Chipotle for food, "Smallville" for entertainment, and Soccer for sport. None of these take precedence over Deanna (much).

21. Rene started taking allergy medicine so he could be around Deanna more. (Tucker still hates him.)

22. Rene wishes there would be an allergy medication against his biggest allergy: SNAKES. His second biggest: roller coasters, where he may or may not have been heard screaming like a banshee.

23. Deanna yawns when she's nervous. She also laughs when she's telling the truth and no one believes her.

24. Deanna makes Rene angry exasperated when she thinks they're lost and he knows (and/or pretends) they're not. (Rene is a north-south, position of the sun and other heavenly bodies relative to the horizon kind of guy; Deanna needs left at the yellow store kind of directions.) UPDATE: To remedy this, Rene has bought a TOM-TOM for Deanna.

25. Rene and Deanna are very lucky to be blessed with such wonderful family, friends, and each other.
